B i o g r a p h y

Cynthia's works have been developed by KUSC Radio, Colony Theatre, 24th Street Theatre, California International Theatre Festival and Theatricum Botanicum in Los Angeles; Stage Left Studio in New York City ; and Herrenhaus Edenkoben in Germany.  

She is the recipient of the Jerome Lawrence Playwriting Fellowship,  Phi Kappa Phi creative achievement medal and Conquest Essay Prize.​

Her operas include El Canguro, with Berlin Opera Prize winner Mike von der Nahmer.  

Her musicals include Loving the Silent Tears, composed  and performed by winners of 15 Grammys, 4 Oscars, 3 Tonys and 6 Emmys; At Home in Mitford, with Chana Wise and Emmy winner Carl Johnson; and The Rightful Monarch of America, with Johnson and Tony winner Jeff Marx.

Her video songbook with Jerry Ranger includes Shermania!, produced for Disney's sold-out Destination: D.

​Cynthia holds a Master of Professional Writing from USC and has taught as a professor at Pepperdine University.  She is a member of ASCAP and is published by the Arts & Letters Journal of Contemporary Culture and Doubleday NY.
